Toddlers
(14 to 24 Months)

Our toddler program is specifically tailored to the needs of your busy toddler. At this age, children learn to be independent and confident, while developing oral language, cognitive and motor skills. Their understanding is beginning to increase as they begin to identify common objects and become more creative in exploring the world.

Within a structured and predictable environment, our toddlers take part in fun and engaging daily activities.  At this age, it’s all about repetition; toddlers’ brain connections are being strengthened through this repetition. Teachers and students sing, dance, engage in pretend- play, sort and classify objects and tell stories using puppets and hand gestures.

Twos

Our energetic twos are starting to think in new ways, learn new skills, find new techniques to solve problems, and show more independence. At this age, children are experiencing huge thinking, learning, social, and emotional changes that will help them to explore their new world, and make sense of it.

Within a more ordered day, individual and group activities are planned to promote problem solving, encourage the reinforcement and refinement of newly acquired physical skills, and facilitate social interaction between children. Students enjoy a more structured daily circle time where they sing daily songs, recite the numbers and colors, and have group discussions about story time.  They follow two- or three-step directions, sort objects by shape and color, imitate the actions of adults and playmates, and express a wide range of emotions.

Potty training is an important component of our 2-year-old program. Teachers work very closely with parents to establish a routine to make this transition as smooth as possible.

Preschool

Our toddler program offers opportunities for children to create and express themselves through guided and free art experiences plus sensory exploration.  Children explore and investigate the world around them by learning to sort, classify, count, measure and manipulate a variety of materials.  Students begin the process of developing communication and early writing skills, as they explore sounds, letter recognition and formation. Teachers promote self-expression through music and dance.  In our preschool program, children develop lifelong skills as they learn to work and play together with their classmates.

Pre-K

In our pre-kindergarten program children create artwork, explore science experiments, play pretend and engage in teacher-guided activities in the Spanish language—all the skills needed for their big next step: kindergarten!

Social skills are a big focus at this age. Children will learn to work through big feelings and resolve conflicts using their words.   Students work on ABC’s, using letters and drawings to describe things like people, places, experiences, and feelings. Reader’s theatre and story time are fun ways to promote a love for reading and storytelling. In this program, students are also ready for simple addition, subtraction, and science predictions! Teachers plan fun and engaging activities to keep children excited about learning new skills.

Creative expression really comes alive at this age! Teachers encourage students to express themselves through music and dance.  Kids love to sing and dance along to their favorite music.
